Yeah I know I’m a guy and this seems like a weird question but do Pantyhose or tights have any insulation qualities and do they keep? I’m up in New England and work in the construction industry as a plasterer’s apprentice so I work in the cold a lot. It’s supposed to be -13 Fahrenheit tonight and I aint got time tonight or tomorrow to buy any long johns since I got to be to work by 6:00 AM and I’m 18 so money is really tight. My girlfriend joking suggested I borrow pantyhose or tights but I got to thinking it might work -Do pantyhose have any insulation qualitys to keep you warm and do they work better than long johns?

Pantyhose really don’t do all that much to keep you warm. Tights are better than pantyhose, but long johns would definitely be the best choice of the three.
They are warmer than nothing but not as warm as long johns. Try layering them for more insulation, or wear more than one pair of pants, might look like a goof ball but you will stay warm
no tights or leggings work better and keep you much warmer
Tights or leggings would be more effective. Pantyhose do help a little
Nope, they don’t Tights are better. But Long Johns are the best
